Onyx provided structural engineering for this new 140,000-square-foot elementary school, merging two former schools into a unified educational space for 800 students from Pre-K to fifth grade. The design features load-bearing masonry walls that support both gravity and lateral forces, complemented by long-span trusses and steel joists for elevated floors. The building’s layout centers around a "main street" corridor, connecting key spaces such as the media center, gymnasium, and cafeteria to the classroom wings, creating a dynamic and functional learning environment.
