Located in the heart of Lancaster’s Gallery Row, this 110-unit residential building combines modern living with a deep respect for the area’s historical character. The design preserves the historic façades on both the east and west sides of the block, blending seamlessly with the neighborhood’s charm. The project offers amenities including a fitness center, private courtyard, and rooftop terraces, as well as a public pocket park to enhance community access and green space.
Due to challenging soil conditions, rigid inclusions were implemented for ground stabilization. The structure features two levels of elevated precast planks supported by CMU walls, topped by five stories of wood framing above the podium. This development embodies a thoughtful approach to integrating historical preservation with contemporary urban living.
