This new 5-story multi-family building will house approximately 80 units across a 16,000-square-foot footprint. The ground floor features a parking garage while the main floor, positioned above the ground floor, will also primarily feature parking as well as retail space. The second through the fourth floor contains the residential units.
Onyx provided structural design with the main and second floor to be supported by wood and steel framing with a steel-framed “podium” level at the second floor. Steel framing will aligns with the demising walls. Depending on final geotechnical engineer’s results and report, braced frames and/or moment frames will be utilized for the podium’s lateral force resisting system (LFRS).
